Accessibility & Inclusivity at Oh My Dog

At Oh My Dog, we believe that everyone โ€“ people and pups alike โ€“ should feel welcome, comfortable, and included in our shop and community.

๐ŸŒˆ Inclusivity

We are proud to be an inclusive and safe space for everyone. That means:

  • We welcome people of all identities, backgrounds and abilities โ€“ our customers and community reflect the beautiful diversity around us.

  • LGBTQIA+ inclusive โ€“ We are proudly supportive of our LGBTQ+ community and are part of the Beverley Pride committee.

  • Zero tolerance for discrimination โ€“ We will never accept any form of hate, harassment or exclusion in our space.

  • Family friendly โ€“ We are a space for all generations and encourage respectful, joyful connections between people and pets.

We donโ€™t just sell products โ€” weโ€™re building a community that celebrates love, kindness, and tail-wagging joy which is why we host events like our 'Dog Walk of Pride!' ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿถ

If you have suggestions, questions, or feedback on how we can be even more inclusive, please get in touch. Weโ€™d love to hear from you!

โ™ฟ Accessibility

We understand that every visitorโ€™s needs are different, and weโ€™ll always do our best to make your visit enjoyable.

  • Entryway โ€“ There is a small step at the entrance to our shop. While we do not currently have a ramp, there is a sturdy handrail to support those who need it.

  • Upstairs access โ€“ Our upstairs area is accessible by stairs only. However, if youโ€™re unable to access this area, a member of our friendly team will be more than happy to fetch any items for you โ€” just let us know!

  • Assistance dogs welcome โ€“ As well as your beloved pets, registered assistance dogs are always welcome and supported in-store.

  • Seating available โ€“ If you need a moment to rest during your visit, seating is available on request.

  • Quiet moments โ€“ If you or your dog are sensory sensitive, let us know โ€“ we can accommodate quieter times for a calmer visit.

If you have any specific accessibility requirements or questions before your visit, please feel free to contact us โ€” weโ€™re here to help.
